Siemens S7-300 is a high-performance, widely used PLC equipment, modular, distributed structure and easy-to-learn operation, making Siemens S7-300 a cost-effective solution for small and medium-sized applications. Such as electrical equipment, CNC machine tools, textile machinery, packaging machinery, and manufacturing production lines, are favored by many companies.
In actual use, we often encounter PLC failures, which in turn affect equipment operation and data collection, and bring a lot of unnecessary losses. Therefore, we need to learn the fault judgment method and efficient and practical maintenance plan of Siemens PLC.
1. Common fault judgment
Siemens PLC has a lot of indicator lights. When a fault occurs, the status light can be used to simply judge the fault type of the PLC.
SF light (system error/fault display, red) is on when the CPU hardware is faulty or software is wrong.
BATF light (battery fault, red) Low battery voltage or no battery.
DC5V light (+5V power supply indicator, green) is on when the 5V power supply is normal.
The FRCE light (forced, yellow) is on when at least one I/O is forced.
RUN light (running mode, green) is on when the CPU is in the RUN state; it flickers at a frequency of 2Hz when it restarts; it flickers at a frequency of 0.5Hz when it is in the HOLD (single step, breakpoint) state.
STOP light (stop mode, yellow) is always on when the CPU is in STOP, HOLD state or restarted.
The BUSF light (bus error, red) is only present for processors with built-in DP ports.
2. Remote maintenance solution
The IP address of the gateway and PLC equipment can be remotely located through the "Equipment Remote Express Line" of Wutong Bolian, and a stable and reliable remote maintenance channel can be built. Engineers can operate the PLC through the remote equipment express line and programming software, program upload and download, program Debugging, instruction update, etc., can be easily operated.
1. If the SF light is red, it means that there is an error in the PLC system. You can check whether the hardware serial port is in poor contact or damaged;
2. If the BF light flashes, it means that there is a problem with the PROFIBUS-DP bus distributed in the domain bus or DP slave station. It is necessary to check whether the hardware physical layer communicates successfully, and whether the relevant communication data and communication type are correct.
3. If the SF red light on the analog module is on and the CPU light is normal, it means that there is a problem with the module. Find the corresponding module, the specific operation is the same as that of the SF lamp, check the software and hardware, and upload and download the PLC program. If there are multiple failures, consider the stability of equipment operation.
Through remote maintenance, engineers do not have to face the fatigue of travel and transportation, and the company can also save additional expenses for travel, board and lodging. It can not only maintain the PLC equipment in a timely manner, but also optimize the service to improve the corporate image, help the company reduce costs and increase efficiency, and improve the level of digital management.
